Middlebury’s Democratic and Republican town committees will meet on Tuesday, July 15, to choose their candidates for the November 4, 2025, election. The meetings are open to the public, but voting on the candidate choices will be limited to members of the town committees.
The Democratic Town Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in room 4 of Shepardson Community Center at 1172 Whittemore Road in Middlebury.
The Republican Town Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. in room 26, also in Shepardson Community Center.
Pending verification and further detail from the town clerk’s office on Monday, we believe the following positions, listed in alphabetical order, will be on the November 4, 2025, ballot:
Board of Assessment Appeals – one position
Board of Education – two positions
Board of Finance – three positions
First Selectman
Library Board of Trustees – two positions
Police Commission – three positions
Pomperaug Valley Water Commission – one position
Town Clerk
Treasurer
Water Pollution Control Authority – two positions
