On Tuesday, July 7, Connecticut state officials said on Monday, July 6, at 8:30 p.m., there were 47,033 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 57 cases over the 46,976 on Sunday, July 5, at 8:30 p.m. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 48.

On Monday at 8:30 p.m., 83 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 14 patients, and 4,338 people had died. No new deaths have been reported since Sunday.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 45 confirmed and 3 probable, Naugatuck – 390 confirmed and 9 probable, Oxford – 79 confirmed and 3 probable, Southbury – 195 confirmed and 5 probable, Woodbury – 51 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 146 confirmed and 7 probable, Waterbury – 1,946 confirmed and 85 probable.
