Ann F. DeLuca, 89, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2023, at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the beloved wife of Russell DeLuca.

Mrs. DeLuca was born June 26, 1933, in New Milford, the daughter of the late Columbo and Rose (Hermalak) Godio. She was a graduate of Watertown High School. After her graduation from Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing, she worked as a supervisor for the Watertown VNA, a school nurse at Westover School, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation as an Occupational Health Nurse. Ann was an avid reader, gardener, and bridge player who also enjoyed traveling and walking clubs.

Besides her husband of 68 years, Ann is survived by her daughter Susan Stramiello and her husband Stephen; her sister-in-law Carmel Desjardins; her grandchild Natalie DeLuca; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son David.

The family is forever grateful for the love, support, and homecare from her personal aides: Jessica, Tonya, and Adelaide. They thank Masonic Care and The Key for their support. They are especially grateful to their dear family friend, Yana for her kindness and assistance.

Funeral services and committal will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
