This is an increase of 6,211 cases over one week. The state daily test positivity rate as of Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 8:30 p.m. was 7.6%, up from 6.26% on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 8:30 p.m.

On April 20 at 8:30 p.m., 176 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 37 patients since April 13. Through Wednesday, April 20, deaths numbered 10,826, an increase of 17 deaths since April 13.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 1,219 (+7) confirmed and 247 (+3) probable, Naugatuck – 6,360 confirmed and 1,265 probable, Oxford – 1,995 confirmed and 270 probable, Southbury – 2,605 confirmed and 621 probable, Woodbury – 1,219 confirmed and 265 probable, Watertown – 4,106 confirmed and 734 probable, and Waterbury – 28,148 confirmed and 3,978 probable.
