On Friday, November 26, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Thursday, November 25, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., the number of COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 418,473 cases. This is an increase of 3,495 cases over four days. The state daily test positivity rate as of Thursday, November 25, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 3.61%, up from 3.53% on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.

On Thursday at 8:30 p.m., 300 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 32 patients since Sunday. Through Wednesday, November 24, deaths numbered 8,865, an increase of 31 deaths since November 17. Deaths are reported once a week.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 752 (+9) confirmed and 116 (+1) probable, Naugatuck – 3,794 confirmed and 558 probable, Oxford – 1,131 confirmed and 115 probable, Southbury – 1,497 confirmed and 276 probable, Woodbury – 705 confirmed and 121 probable, Watertown – 2,646 confirmed and 419 probable, and Waterbury – 16,951 confirmed and 2,216 probable.
