Loving mother, grandmother and sister
Ms. Barbara L. (Bradley) Hopson, 79, of Middlebury, entered into the gates of Heaven Saturday April 10, 2021, in the comfort of her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara was born in Waterbury on September 25, 1941, daughter of the late Leo Charles and Helen (Dorr) Bradley. She graduated from Wilby High School and earned an associate degree from Post College. She worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years until her retirement in 1999. She was a member and former union steward for NRLCA for the USPS. She enjoyed cooking/baking, crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and going to the casino with her best friend, Pat.
She leaves to honor and cherish her memory, four children; Kevin Hopson and his wife Cheryl and Michael Hopson, all of Waterbury; Melissa Hopson and Peter Jay Hopson and his wife, Jeanette, all of Middlebury; two brothers, Richard Bradley of Waterbury and Kevin Bradley of Salem, Maine; a sister, Susan Bradley of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and a close family member, Kathleen Reading of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at the convenience of the family. Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home & Crematory at 200 Benson Road in Middlebury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
