Raised in Middlebury

Robert C. Johnson, 79, of The Watermark in Southbury, formerly of Watertown, passed away at Danbury Hospital on January 18, 2021, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (McLoughlin) Johnson.

Bob was born December 22, 1941, in Waterbury and raised in Middlebury. He was the son of the late C. Arthur and Margaret (Ladden) Johnson. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School and Providence College and went on to complete a master’s degree in education from Fairfield University and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Connecticut Law School. He was a vice president of Shawmut/Fleet Bank and corporate secretary of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Waterbury. He also was the owner of Spirits ‘n’ Such in Southbury.
