On Saturday, June 6, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 43,818 COVID-19 cases in the state as of Friday, June 5, at 8:30 p.m. This is an increase of 358 cases over the 43,460 on Thursday, June 4, at 8:30 p.m. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 44.

On Friday at 8:30 p.m., 333 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 17 patients, and 4,055 people had died, an increase of 17 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 41 confirmed and 3 probable, Naugatuck – 370 confirmed and 10 probable, Oxford – 75 confirmed and 3 probable, Southbury – 181 confirmed and 6 probable, Woodbury – 44 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 138 confirmed and 6 probable, Waterbury – 1,853 confirmed and 93 probable.
