The annual Blessing of the Animals will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church at 393 Tucker Hill Road in Middlebury, rain or shine. Animals will be blessed by Father Andy Zeman throughout the day.
The event also includes pet adoptions by Brass City Alliance and Rose Hope, dog obedience by K-9 Eagle Academy, pet portraits by Shawna Lee, raptor rehabilitation and education by Blue Moon Raptors, on-site dog grooming and craft and jewelry vendors. Refreshments and a light lunch will be available for purchase. All proceeds go to local pet rescues.
