Finding the New Normal: Life After Loss Bereavement Group for Adults will meet Thursday, March 3, from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. at the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut at 444 Main St. N. in Southbury. The free six-week group is for any adult who is coping with the death of a parent, spouse, sibling, other family member or friend. Led by Jenny Casey, LCSW, of Regional Hospice, this short-term, non-denominational, professionally facilitated bereavement support group will continue meeting on Thursday afternoons through April 7.
The goal of this group is supportive in nature; it aims to provide a safe environment for sharing with others who also have been touched by loss. The size of the group is limited, and registration is required. To register, call 203-267-3177, ext. 310, or email rsvp@jfed.net.
