The annual Blessing of the Animals Festival is today, Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church on Tucker Hill Road in Middlebury. It is a rain-or-shine event, with activities moving inside on rainy days. In addition to the blessing, there will be pet adoptions, a pet basket raffle, pet grooming, food and drink, and vendors. All proceeds will benefit local animal shelters.
