In Middlebury, Questions 1, 3 and 4 passed while question 2 failed. The Board of Finance and Board of Selectmen jointly set the mill rate at 26.46.
When Question 1 and 2 Middlebury and Southbury results were combined, both questions passed.
Unofficial election results from Middlebury and Southbury for questions 1 and 2 on the Middlebury ballot and for Middlebury alone for questions 3 and 4 on the Middlebury ballot are as follows:
Question 1: Yes 2,679 No: 1,618 Combined numbers
Middlebury voted 631 for and 559 against. Southbury voted 2,048 for and 1,059 against.
Question 2: Yes 2,474 No: 1,820 Combined numbers
Middlebury voted 539 for and 648 against. Southbury voted 1,935 for and 1,172 against.
Question 3: Middlebury Yes: 735 No: 453
Question 4: Middlebury Yes: 774 No: 403

Question 1: “Shall the proposed 2026-2027 Budget of the Pomperaug Regional School District #15 in the amount of $95,639,220 be adopted?” Yes / No
Question 2: “Shall Regional School District Number 15 appropriate $224,000,000 for the construction of two new elementary schools to replace Pomperaug Elementary School and Gainfield Elementary School, and authorize the issue of bonds and notes in the same amount to finance the appropriation; such borrowing authorization shall be reduced by grants received (currently estimated to be 64.2% of eligible costs)?” Yes / No
