The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced that milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 188 in Southbury and Middlebury (Route 67 to Route 64 Middlebury Road). This project was scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 10, 2025, and be completed on Tuesday September 16, 2025.
Lane Closure/Detour Info
Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
