EDC sees Southford Park building renderings

Southford Park representatives presented artist’s renderings of the proposed project’s two buildings to the Middlebury Economic Development Commission (EDC) at its Monday, October 2, 2023, special meeting. The regular meeting was rescheduled so as not to conflict with observance of Yom Kippur. The EDC reviews proposed buildings’ architecture to see if it conforms to standards the EDC has established.

Architect Anthony Iacovino, senior project architect with the Cambridge, Massachusetts, architectural firm, SMMA, presented the renderings. He said they were flat-roofed metal buildings with loading docks on one side. He said the tenant is not yet known, but the buildings would accommodate light manufacturing, research and development, or allowed warehouse functions. We will report more on his and the EDC’s comments, but this article is intended to give readers a first glimpse at the proposed buildings.

In the photos below, building A1 is the larger of the two buildings; building A2 is the smaller.
