In response to the most recent developments in the controversy surrounding the possible construction of a distribution center in Middlebury, Middlebury First Selectman Edward B. St. John, Selectwoman Elaine Strobel and Selectman J. Paul Vance issued the following statement:
“The Board of Selectmen did not interfere in the process. The application was entitled to a fair review. We were confident our boards and commissions would do what was appropriate. Now it is out of our hands and ultimately the courts will decide.”
