“Crush” (PG-13) – High-school student Paige (Rowan Blanchard) dreams of getting into art school, but finds she’s lacking the inspiration to make something worthy of getting accepted. Those closest to her advise her to loosen up a little, instead of putting so much pressure on herself. So, Paige tries to follow their advice by joining the track team with the intent of getting closer to her crush, Gabby. But when the track coach assigns Gabby’s sister, AJ (Auli’i Cravalho), to help train Paige, a classic love triangle ensues, and Paige becomes torn on which sister is her true crush. Premieres April 29. (Hulu)

“The Batman” (PG-13) – It’s finally time to watch this long-awaited film at home! Directed by Matt Reeves, the legendary superhero Batman is darkly portrayed by Robert Pattinson in a tone that’s never been seen before. Batman’s gloom extends to his alter ego, Bruce Wayne, whose persona is far from the suave billionaire we’ve come to know in other films. Bruce has outcasted himself, pouring every fiber into being the Batman, and the heaviness weighs him down greatly. Only when a series of murders, committed by the morbidly comical Riddler, start to unravel the pent-up pain and trauma long hidden within Bruce does the Batman earn the title of being a superhero. Zoe Kravitz stars opposite Pattinson as the alluring Selina Kyle, who doubles as Catwoman. (HBO Max)
“Silverton Siege” (TV-MA) – Based on true events that occurred in South Africa in 1980, this nail-biting action thriller focuses on three anti-apartheid freedom fighters whose mission ends in failure, which forces them into the standoff of their lives. The fighters enter a bank and keep several hostages, but realize once they’re in the standoff that it will only yield two results for them: prison or death. So, they decide to use this high-risk situation as an opportunity for the launch of a global movement. The three fighters agree to release the hostages and end the standoff in exchange for the release of anti-apartheid revolutionary Nelson Mandela, who is being held in prison. Premieres April 27. “Polar Bear” (PG) – Disney+ takes viewers on an adventure to the Arctic to visit a longtime favorite animal, the polar bear, in the latest Disneynature movie. According to World Wildlife, Arctic polar bears were listed as a threatened species in 2008 because of the effects of climate change on their habitats. Following a mother polar bear and her cubs throughout the seasons of one of the coldest environments in the world, this documentary showcases their journey as the cubs begin to grow and adapt to their changing Arctic home. Previous Disneynature movies include “Penguins,” “Bears” and “Oceans.” (Disney+)
