Easter Egg Hunt Returns! The Middlebury Parks & Recreation & Middlebury Police Social Club’s Peter Cottontail’s Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m. at Shepardson Community Center Field at 1172 Whittemore Road. It is for Middlebury children ages 3 to 10 years old. Don’t forget to bring your Easter basket and get your picture taken with Peter Rabbit!

Earth Day Celebration – Help clean up our beautiful town. Meet Saturday, April 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Meadowview Park Pavilion where the Parks & Rec staff will distribute trash bags and gloves. Then choose any public area in town to clean/collect trash. Call 203-695-3545 to schedule trash bag pick-up. Enjoy an environmentally friendly, fun family activity!

Boat Rack Lottery – Entry forms for the lottery for a boat storage space at the Middlebury Recreation Area are available online and in the Parks & Recreation office. Racks can accommodate sailboat, wind surfers, kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards. They are available for Middlebury residents only, one boat rack per address, and residents may submit a lottery entry for one boat rack type only. Lottery winners are limited to TWO vessels and both vessels must fit on assigned rack.

All lottery requests must be submitted using the Boat Rack Lottery Request Form via USPS mail to Middlebury Parks & Recreation Attn: Boat Racks, 1172 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, CT 06762 or email to tgraziano@middlebury-ct.org

Lottery entries must be received in the Parks & Rec office no later than Monday, April 25, for the lottery drawing on Friday, April 29. Lottery winners will be notified by email and/or by phone. All boat rack locations will be issued according to lottery placement. Boat rack payments of $85 will be due on or before Friday, May 13.

Middlebury Recreation Area Beach Passes – Passes go on sale Monday, May 2. The MRA will be open on weekends starting Saturday, May 28.
