Per the following legal notice previously published in the daily newspaper, the Town of Middlebury will have a special town meeting Monday, December 6, at 6 p.m.

Notice of Special Town Meeting

Monday, December 6, 2021 – 6:00 p.m.
Shepardson Community Center – Room 26
1172 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, CT

Notice is hereby given to the Electors and Property owners who are not electors but are Qualified Voters pursuant to Section 7-6 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended of the Town of Middlebury that a Special Town Meeting will be held on December 6, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Shepardson Community Center, Room 26, 1172 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, CT for the following purpose:

  1. To vote to approve the tax incentive program application of Boch Waterbury-Middlebury (Subaru) for participation in Middlebury’s Tax Incentive Program; and
  2. To vote to approve the tax incentive program application for Quassy Amusement Park for participation in Middlebury’s Tax Incentive Program; and
  3. To vote to approve the tax incentive program application for Embrace Animal Hospital for participation in Middlebury’s Tax Incentive Program; and
  4. To vote to approve the sale of T- Lots 1311-1320 Narcissus Road (.46 acres) to Jay Harlamon for the appraised value of $1,380.00, owned by the Town of Middlebury

A Qualified Voter is any U.S. Citizen who is of the age of eighteen years or more who, jointly or severally, is liable to the Town of Middlebury for taxes assessed against him or her on an assessment of not less than one thousand dollars on the last completed Grand List of the Town, or who would be so liable if not entitled to an exemption under subdivisions (17), (19), (22), (25) or (26) of Section 12-81 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended.
