On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 34 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, the same number as on Sunday, and deaths numbered 8,274, an increase of 5 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 626 confirmed and 90 probable, Naugatuck – 3,199 confirmed and 348 probable, Oxford – 855 confirmed and 91 probable, Southbury – 1,239 confirmed and 224 probable, Woodbury – 566 confirmed and 79 probable, Watertown – 2,201 confirmed and 312 probable, and Waterbury – 14,844 confirmed and 1,656 probable.
