This is an increase of 426 cases over three days. The state daily test positivity rate as of Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 1.06%, up from 0.9% Sunday, May 23, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 123 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 4 patients since Sunday, and deaths numbered 8,230, an increase of 11 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 626 confirmed (-1) and 89 probable (+1), Naugatuck – 3,186 confirmed and 336 probable, Oxford – 851 confirmed and 89 probable, Southbury – 1,235 confirmed and 221 probable, Woodbury – 565 confirmed and 79 probable, Watertown – 2,193 confirmed and 304 probable, and Waterbury – 14,769 confirmed and 1,627 probable.
