  • The state daily test positivity rate as of Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 2.58%, the same as it was Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.

On Monday, February 22, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 275,334. This is an increase of 2,233 cases over three days.

On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 500 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 35 patients since Thursday, and deaths numbered 7,562, an increase of 39 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 522 confirmed (+2) and 44 probable (+1), Naugatuck – 2,520 confirmed and 188 probable, Oxford – 678 confirmed and 34 probable, Southbury – 1,010 confirmed and 85 probable, Woodbury – 444 confirmed and 36 probable, Watertown – 1,725 confirmed and 170 probable, and Waterbury – 11,571 confirmed and 803 probable.
