On Friday, February 19, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 273,101. This is an increase of 1,198 cases over 24 hours.

On Thursday at 8:30 p.m., 535 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 33 patients since Wednesday, and deaths numbered 7,523, an increase of 27 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 520 confirmed (+4) and 43 probable (no change), Naugatuck – 2,494 confirmed and 188 probable, Oxford – 677 confirmed and 34 probable, Southbury – 1,004 confirmed and 85 probable, Woodbury – 444 confirmed and 36 probable, Watertown – 1,694 confirmed and 170 probable, and Waterbury – 11,483 confirmed and 797 probable.
