On Thursday, February 18, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 271,903. This is an increase of 547 cases over 24 hours.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 568 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 16 patients since Tuesday, and deaths numbered 7,496, an increase of 20 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 516 confirmed (+3) and 43 probable (no change), Naugatuck – 2,486 confirmed and 187 probable, Oxford – 673 confirmed and 34 probable, Southbury – 1,002 confirmed and 84 probable, Woodbury – 443 confirmed and 36 probable, Watertown – 1,684 confirmed and 168 probable, and Waterbury – 11,451 confirmed and 793 probable.
