On Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., 1,167 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 59 patients, and deaths numbered 5,964, an increase of 40 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 370 confirmed (+3) and 30 probable (no change), Naugatuck – 1,744 confirmed and 103 probable, Oxford – 411 confirmed and 22 probable, Southbury – 705 confirmed and 48 probable, Woodbury – 328 confirmed and 18 probable, Watertown – 1,198 confirmed and 101 probable, and Waterbury – 8,516 confirmed and 558 probable.
