Middlebury’s total number of cases rose to 87 (+1) in the latest report from state health officials. On Thursday, October 29, 2020, Connecticut state officials said on Wednesday, October 28, at 8:30 p.m., there were 70,446 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 1,319 cases since Tuesday, October 27.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 321 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 12 patients, and deaths numbered 4,609, an increase of 5 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 81 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 545 confirmed and 30 probable, Oxford – 107 confirmed and 5 probable, Southbury – 236 confirmed and 11 probable, Woodbury – 78 confirmed and 5 probable, Watertown – 257 confirmed and 19 probable, and Waterbury – 2,923 confirmed and 166 probable.
