COVID-19 Update – September 30, 2020 – 57,550 cases

Wednesday, September 30, 2020, Connecticut state officials said on Tuesday, September 29, at 8:30 p.m. there were 57,550 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 221 cases since Monday, September 28. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 61.

On Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., 104 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 12 patients, and deaths numbered 4,508, an increase of 3 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 55 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 453 confirmed and 17 probable, Oxford – 93 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 215 confirmed and 7 probable, Woodbury – 63 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 172 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,353 confirmed and 108 probable.
