Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Connecticut state officials said on Monday, September 28, at 8:30 p.m. there were 57,329 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 182 cases since Sunday, September 27. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 61.

On Monday at 8:30 p.m., 92 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 17 patients, and deaths numbered 4,505, an increase of 2 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 55 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 453 confirmed and 17 probable, Oxford – 91 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 215 confirmed and 7 probable, Woodbury – 63 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 171 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,346 confirmed and 108 probable.
