On Friday, September 25, Connecticut state officials said on Thursday, September 24, at 8:30 p.m. there were 56,587 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 115 cases since Wednesday, September 23. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 61.

On Thursday at 8:30 p.m., 76 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 4 patients, and deaths numbered 4,501, an increase of 2 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 55 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 445 confirmed and 17 probable, Oxford – 90 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 213 confirmed and 7 probable, Woodbury – 61 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 168 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,322 confirmed and 106 probable.
