On Saturday, May 30, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 42,022 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state as of Friday, May 29, at 8:30 p.m. This is an increase of 260 cases over the 41,762 on Thursday, May 28, at 8:30 p.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury remained at 44.

On Friday at 8:30 p.m., 533 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 44 patients, and 3,912 people had died, an increase of 44 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 44, Naugatuck – 366, Oxford – 76, Southbury – 171, Woodbury – 41, Watertown – 142, Waterbury – 1,865.
