Middlebury Parks & Rec suspends activities

#Middlebury #COVID19 #Coronavirus

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Middlebury Parks & Recreation Department issued the following press release Wednesday, April 15:

With the uncertainty regarding federal, state, and local social distancing mandate durations, we have suspended publication of our Spring/Summer program brochure and registration for all of our spring and summer programs, including Middlebury Recreational Area memberships and boat rack lottery. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and our government officials and will share all updates as we receive them. Please be sure to “Like” our Facebook page and check the town website, www.Middlebury-ct.org, regularly for updates.

If you have not registered for a parks and rec program since Oct. 1, 2019, either online or in the office, and you plan to register for a summer program, please consider going to our website and creating an account now so you are all set to go when registration does open. If you have any questions, please call the office at 203-758-2520, ext. 702.

Please continue to adhere to current social distancing mandates when enjoying our beautiful parks system. And, as always, please don’t litter. Please place all refuse in the amply supplied receptacles available in all parks and along the Greenway.

Stay safe & well. We look forward to “seeing” you all soon!
