Technology Education Concepts, Inc. (TEC), an authorized Ultimaker reseller and service provider in Concord, New Hampshire, announced that Greg Kunz from Rochambeau Middle School in Southbury, Connecticut, won an Ultimaker 3 Extended 3D Printer valued at $4,295. Kunz registered his school for the printer raffle at the TEC booth during the Connecticut Technology and Engineering Education Association Fall Conference. Over 300 educators from seven states entered for a chance to win.

Kunz, a technology education teacher, said, “I’m very excited (and so are my students)!” Kunz has taught technology education for 20 years. Approximately 400 students come through his program every year and all of them complete a 3D printing unit.

The Ultimaker 3 Extended 3D Printer is an award-winning dual extrusion industrial 3D printer. Used worldwide by companies that include Siemens, L’Oréal, and Volkswagen, Ultimaker 3D printers are chosen by secondary and post-secondary schools because of their ease of use, open source technology, and reliability.

Matt Fawcett, Channel Sales Manager at Ultimaker North America, said, “Ultimaker is constantly looking to provide the tools needed to support the implementation of 3D printing within the classroom. Over the years, we continue to support technology education concepts as they provide 30+ years of bringing reliable technology to educators throughout New England. We are excited for Rochambeau Middle School and hope they enjoy their new Ultimaker 3 Extended printer!”
