Middlebury food drive

The Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department Junior Firefighters are asking for donations to the Middlebury Food Bank during the United Way Annual Stock the Pantry Food Drive that runs through June 20. On Saturday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Junior Firefighters will be at the firehouse at 65 Tucker Hill Road accepting nonperishable donations.

Wednesday, June 20, the United Way will weigh Middlebury’s donations. The Fire Department that collects the highest weight (in pounds) will be treated to a cookout by the United Way. Our juniors aren’t looking for the prize, but are focused on collecting as many donations as possible for their town and those in need right here.

Between now and June 20, donations can be dropped off at Town Hall, Shepardson Community Center, Public Works and Middlebury Fire Headquarters. All donations will go to the Middlebury Food Bank.
