Find out why kids do what they do

#MIDDLEBURY #SOUTHBURY

Do you ever wonder why your kids do what they do? Find out Tuesday, March 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Pomperaug High School AP room. Regardless of your child’s age, it is never too early to learn what makes them do what they do.

S.M.A.R.T. Inc. and Region 15 have the pleasure of bringing in an expert, Dr. Yifrah Kaminer, professor of psychiatry and pediatrics at the University of Connecticut Health Center, to inform us of the cutting edge research now available to help us understand the adolescent brain. Whether your child is a teenager, a tween, or an elementary school child, now is the time to listen to an expert explain how the adolescent brain works, and what you can do to ensure healthy brain growth occurs.

Kaminer, a renowned expert and author in the field of adolescent psychiatry, will provide invaluable information about our children’s brain health and will field all audience questions. How often do you have an opportunity to listen to a leader in the field of adolescent psychiatry and have all your questions answered?

This event is free to the public (due to the generous funding and collaboration of DMHAS, CNVRAC and Region 15) and no reservations are required. You are encouraged to bring your middle school and high school students to this event with you so they also can learn and have their questions answered.

Noel Federle says she hopes you will make time in your busy schedules to attend this presentation and also, please share this invite with others!
