Connolly named regional vice president

Joseph Connolly

(HARTFORD, Conn. – Sept. 20, 2016) –Trinity Health – New England has named Joseph T. Connolly of Middlebury as regional vice president of marketing / communications and Connecticut government relations.

Connolly has been a member of the Saint Mary’s Hospital management and leadership teams since 2003 and served most recently as vice president, administration and chief experience officer. In his new role, Connolly will lead the regional marketing and communication function for Trinity Health – New England, as well as the government relations role for Connecticut

Connolly received his master’s degree from the University of Connecticut School of Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Boston University. He previously served as chief marketing officer and vice president of community affairs at Saint Mary’s. Prior to joining the hospital, he served as president and creative director of his own full-service marketing company.

Connolly is a member of the American College of Health Executives and serves on the board of directors of the United Way of Greater Waterbury and Saint Vincent de Paul Mission of Waterbury. He also serves as a professor of marketing at the University of Connecticut, where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate-level courses on integrated marketing communications, marketing management, and service marketing.

He and his wife, Paula, have three daughters.

Trinity Health – New England is a member of Trinity Health of Livonia, Mich., one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation. The regional health ministry includes Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford, Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, and Sisters of Providence Health System/Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., and their subsidiaries.
