Southbury Crown Council dentist Dr. Perry S. Kest is once again raising funds for Smiles for Life by donating June proceeds from teeth-whitening procedures to the charity that helps fund children’s charities and humanitarian work locally and around the world. As an additional incentive, Kest is offering a discounted rate for the procedure. The procedure, which usually costs $400, is being offered for $200 this month.

Dr. Kest has raised $164,000 so far for the Smiles For Life Foundation, and his donations to the Region 15 PTO Perpetual Fund have reached $50,000. A local children’s charity in Middlebury and Southbury, the Perpetual Fund helps families of Region 15 students who suffer from life-threatening or life-altering conditions.

Since its creation, the Crown Council’s Smiles For Life Campaign has raised over $36 million for seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged kids. Donations from last year alone totaled $1.5 million. This year their goal is $1.7 million.

“Smiles For Life allows a person to help children in need by doing something that benefits them as well,” said Greg Anderson, director of the Crown Council.  “Dr. Kest and his  team donate their time and expertise, while Ultradent generously provides all Opalescence whitening products.  You receive a brighter smile, and, best of all, provide children with a brighter future.”

The Crown Council is an organization of dentists committed to excellence in their practice and their communities.
