The Rev 3 Triathlon Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5, will close some roads and will affect the time at which the Middlebury Recreation Area (MRA) opens to the public. On both Saturday and Sunday, Route 64 at Route 188 near Lake Quassapaug will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. The MRA will open at 2 p.m., but employees are to report at their usual times.
People needing to travel to Woodbury should use alternate routes during the time Route 64 is closed. One alternate route is to take Interstate 84 westbound to exit 15 to Route 6 northbound toward Woodbury.
Tranquility Road and Old Watertown Road also will be closed to traffic except for resident access. The Revolution 3, as in past years, will be held within Quassy Ammusement Park and on the surrounding roads.
The road portions of the bicycle and foot races will extend into areas of Morris and Litchfield. This event has been successfully and safely held for several years. The Middlebury Police Department would like to thank the public in advance for their cooperation.
