Car thieves target Middlebury

Middlebury PD emblemTwo stolen cars were reported to the Middlebury Police Department, Chief James Viadero said on Tuesday, July 7. The cars, stolen from different parts of Middlebury, were both stolen from driveways during the past week. They were unlocked, and apparently the keys were left in the vehicles along with the garage door remotes. One of the stolen vehicles was recovered in Waterbury, Conn., July 7.

Viadero advises residents to lock their vehicles at all times and to never leave keys or garage door remotes accessible in an unlocked vehicle. Residents are asked to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods to the Middlebury Police Department.
