Southbury road repairs

Southbury will start a roadway resurfacing project for Lenape Trail and portions of Luna Trail and Lee Farm Drive beginning June 15, 2015, and expects to complete it within six weeks. Please anticipate traffic delays and rough road conditions during construction; however the road will remain open for mail delivery, emergency vehicles and local traffic. No street parking will be allowed during construction.

The first phase of the project will be to repair the storm drainage on portions of the roads. That phase is expected to take 10 working days, weather permitting. The entire project should be completed within six weeks.

The road areas to be repaired are as follows:

  • Lenape Trail from Lee Farm Drive to Luna Trail
  • Luna Trail from Lenape Trail to Lee Farm Drive
  • Luna Trail from House number 120 to 135
  • Lee Farm Drive from 270 Lee Farm Drive to Luna Trail

The work is being completed in three phases. The initial phase is storm drainage along the edge of the road. The second phase will be milling and repaving the roadway surface. Once construction is complete, the town will restore affected areas by loaming, seeding and repairing walkways and driveway aprons.

If you should have questions or concerns about this project, please feel free to contact Southbury Public Works at 203-262-0622.
