“The Nutcracker” at the Palace

Woodbury Ballet will present “The Nutcracker” Saturday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m. at the Palace Theater in Waterbury. Directed by Randyl Errica, sugar plums and gumdrops will dance, flowers will waltz and snowflakes will leap across the stage, weaving a splendid tale of a little girl’s dream of first love. Professional dancers, pre-professional ballet students, and young dancers from the Woodbury Ballet Academy will join the stage to bring this holiday story to life in the splendor of the historic Palace Theater.

Tickets are $28 to $48. Prior to the performance, at 2:30 p.m., the public is invited to participate in The Sugar Plum Tea for Two Party where participants will meet Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy and enjoy tea and sweets. Tea admission of $25 admits two and includes the Sugar Plum Tea party and a keepsake photo of your child with the Sugar Plum Fairy.
