On Friday, September 18, Connecticut state officials said on Thursday, September 17, at 8:30 p.m. there were 55,527 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 141 cases since Wednesday, September 16. The total number of cases in Middlebury increased to 60 (+1).

On Thursday at 8:30 p.m., 77 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 2 patients, and deaths numbered 4,492, an increase of 4 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 54 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 435 confirmed and 18 probable, Oxford – 91 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 211 confirmed and 6 probable, Woodbury – 60 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 166 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,269 confirmed and 103 probable.
