Middlebury Police Chief Fran Dabbo said Middlebury’s Best Yogurt at 750 Straits Turnpike was robbed Monday, Oct. 23, at approximately 7:38 p.m. Witnessess said a lone male wearing a grey hoodie walked into the shop and threw an elderly gentleman to the floor. He then approached the cashier and told her to give him the money in the cash drawer. She complied, and the alleged robber left the store with an undetermined amount of money and ran eastbound. There were no injuries and no weapon was displayed.

Middlebury Police K-9 Jay tracked the suspect to a nearby parking lot where he apparently left in a car. A glove and some cash were discovered. Anyone with any information is asked to call Officer George Slaiby at 203-577-4028.
