Holiday baking demonstrations

Enjoy two traditional holiday baking demonstrations, Home for the Holidays with Marie Harb, on Wednesday, Dec. 2, and Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. On Dec. 2, learn how to make holiday cookies from around the world in her Traditional Cookie Demonstration. On Dec. 9, see the Buche de Noel Demonstration and learn how to make a traditional Yule log cake. Registration is required and refreshments will be served.

Children’s book authors to visit

Local authors Jessica Haight and Stephanie Robinson will discuss their book, “The Secret Files of Fairday Morrow,” Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m. No registration is required for this free program open to all. Books will be available for purchase.

Brown Bag Book Discussion

The Brown Bag Book Discussion group will meet Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m. to discuss “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. New members are welcome.

Tanglewood Marionettes to perform

The Tanglewood Marionettes will perform “Sleeping Beauty” Thursday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. Space is limited, so registration is required.

Author to speak

Local author Theresa Mieczkowski will discuss her book, “When I was Jane,” Thursday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. No registration is required for this free program open to all. Prior reading of the book is not required, and books will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served.

Caroling and Santa

Santa Claus will return to the library this year. Come enjoy live music, caroling and a visit with Santa Thursday, Dec. 10, at 6:30 pm. This event is open to all ages. Light refreshments will be served.

Traveling Gourmet in Germany

Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. and again at 5 p.m., enjoy a travel documentary while sampling cuisine from Germany prepared by Chef John Cookson. A light luncheon will be served at 1 p.m. and a light dinner will be served at 5 p.m. Reservations required.

Middle School Masterminds

The Middle School Masterminds, youth in grades six to eight, will meet Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 4 p.m. Registration is required.
