WATERBURY – In a January 18, 2021, press release, Waterbury HEALTH announced it will partner with Post University to open a drive-through COVID-19 vaccination site at the University’s Country Club Road campus at 800 Country Club Road in Waterbury beginning Monday, January 25, 2021. The opening of site coincides with Connecticut’s next phase of vaccinations, which officially expanded to include all Connecticut residents who are 75 years and older, as well as residents with at least one high-risk health condition.

This public clinic is expected to bolster greater Waterbury’s ability to quickly get shots into arms of citizens. The site plans to administer 500 doses per day during its first week and up to 2,000 vaccines a day based on vaccine availability.

“We are working closely with the Waterbury Hospital healthcare teams and following their guidelines for administering the vaccine to eligible Phase 1B individuals. Distributing vaccines to residents is a critical part of getting our community back to normal,” said Post University CEO & President John L. Hopkins.  The vaccine will be administered free of charge.

“We are privileged to team up with such great community partners as Post University. Vaccination on this scale is the best way to serve our community,” said Waterbury HEALTH President & CEO Lester P. Schindel.
