On Tuesday, September 22, Connecticut state officials said on Monday, September 21, at 8:30 p.m. there were 56,160 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 136 cases since Sunday, September 20. The total number of cases in Middlebury increased to 61 (+1).

On Monday at 8:30 p.m., 70 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 2 patients, and deaths numbered 4,496, an increase of 1 death.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 55 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 441 confirmed and 17 probable, Oxford – 90 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 212 confirmed and 6 probable, Woodbury – 61 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 166 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,311 confirmed and 105 probable.
