COVID-19 Update – September 14, 2020 – 54,895 cases

In the first report since Friday, September 11, Connecticut state officials on Monday, September 14, said on Sunday, September 13, at 8:30 p.m. there were 54,895 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 569 cases since Thursday, September 10. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 59.

On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 64 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 13 patients, and deaths numbered 4,485, an increase of 5 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 53 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 433 confirmed and 15 probable, Oxford – 90 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 208 confirmed and 6 probable, Woodbury – 58 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 166 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,237 confirmed and 101 probable.
