On Thursday, September 10, Connecticut state officials said on Wednesday, September 9, at 8:30 p.m. there were 54,093 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 222 cases since Tuesday, September 8. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 59.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 52 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 5 patients, and deaths numbered 4,478, an increase of 4 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 54 confirmed and 5 probable, Naugatuck – 426 confirmed and 13 probable, Oxford – 90 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 207 confirmed and 5 probable, Woodbury – 57 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 168 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,210 confirmed and 98 probable.
