On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 46,572 COVID-19 cases in the state as of Tuesday, June 30, at 8:30 p.m. This is an increase of 58 cases over the 46,514 on Monday, June 29, at 8:30 p.m. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 48.

On Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., 100 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 2 patients, and 4,324 people had died, an increase of 2 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 45 confirmed and 3 probable, Naugatuck – 385 confirmed and 9 probable, Oxford – 78 confirmed and 3 probable, Southbury – 192 confirmed and 5 probable, Woodbury – 51 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 145 confirmed and 7 probable, Waterbury – 1,930 confirmed and 89 probable.
