Chicken dinner raises $2,000 for church

Volunteers who organized the 2nd Annual Chicken BBQ Takeout Dinner fundraiser for St. John of the Cross Church in Middlebury presented a $2,000 check to Rev. Lawrence Symolon July 18, 2017.

The check represents proceeds from the June 24 dinner, which sold nearly 300 boxed meals consisting of a barbecued half-chicken, baked potato, cole slaw, baked beans and roll. The money will be used to help with church repairs and improvements.
